2018 has been a great year for Fresh Future Farm. The Farm provided over six tons of groceries to our neighbors who need them most. We introduced over 60 youth campers to composting, recycling and healthy cooking. Each camper accessed hyper local foods and learned to prepare and create healthy, delicious and fresh meals. Local and out of state volunteers put in over 2000 hours of work to promote consistent access to culturally relevant foods.
As 2018 comes to a close, the Farm looks to increase planning for continued outreach, youth and adult education opportunities, and the addition of an incubator farm kitchen to sell custom prepared Heat & Eat meals in our store. We have found that a large number of neighboring families are eligible for WIC (Women, Infant and Children) services. The Farm is working with local architects to maximize our space to stock WIC items on our shelves.
With your continued investment in these programs, our community can be impacted in a lasting way.
Our groundbreaking work is simply impossible without your support.
